Los Borbones en pelota es un conjunto de ilustraciones satíricas del siglo XIX, en las que se caricaturizaba y ridiculizaba a personajes de la realeza, el gobierno y la aristocracia de la época. Están firmadas por SEM, un seudónimo que, pese a que aún hay mucha controversia, la mayor parte de la crítica atribuye a los hermanos Valeriano y Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer. En esta edición, coordinada por Manuel Martíenz Forega y con introducción de Jesús Rubio Jiménez, Olifante reedita las láminas originales, en un álbum de gran formato y a todo color, y acompaña cada ilustración con un texto de un autor contemporáneo, contrastando la situación política de entonces con la actual.
